Sogavi College of Technology Kumi is a practically oriented training institution located in kumi municipality, North division on plot 24-26 Ariko Road, 200 metres off Soroti Road, at the railway crossing. Regulated by ministry of education and sports - TVET department, Sogavi-Kumi has proven to be a springboard for development of practically competent artisans in numerous technical and vocational fields. Our driving school is licensed by ministry of works and transport; we conduct training and process/renew/extend driving licences for our clients.

Many of our alumni have become employees and employers in the communities they live in; providing the much needed services of building houses, repairing automotive equipment, providing electrical services, making well fitting attire in the current era and leading decent life as desired by many. We are happy to continue supporting many of them to progress with their training, from certificate to diploma level to improve their paper qualifications and level of practical competence in order to better suit the competitive world of work. Vocational trainers need a wide range of skills to share with trainees. With my vast experience in the world of work and the passion of propelling young persons to become world class artisans, I am glad to be a trainer with direct access to the needs and wants of what it takes to train a contemporary worker. In the past, it was impossible to unleash my potential to train, due to major inadequacies in tools, equipment and materials. Worse still was the narrow space of attitude within the training environment, where innovation was some kind of crime! It is thrilling to be a liberated trainer.
Training by example creates a positive impact in terms of attitude. Trainers who are not practically competent will command students to do, while the skilled one will guide trainees through demonstrations and discussion; thereby empowering students to own competencies. We are confident in training practically. All our trainees have embraced the truthful slogan "technical is practical". This is what makes our graduates employable.
